Re: Firefox 4 Beta 1

Mozilla has been doing this in misc places since 3.0 - it's nothing new, just something that got worse continiously.

Well given that most of the Firefox gui in 4 is Glass with only the tabs and the Firefox button being solid maybe they do plan on making the tabs follow the Windows theme. Failing that slap a dark persona on it (sounds like an evil persona :|) or try one of the tab colouring extensions.

Or wait for IE9 beta which should be out in a month or two ;)

Actually personas don't change the tab style in Firefox 4 beta 2 but they do in the latest nightlies so you will have to wait. Unfortunately there is also a bug where personas make the windows buttons (minimise/maximise/close) disappear from top left.

Download the installer and unzip it. Rename core folder to Firefox and put it in Bin or App as usually. Enjoy surfing.

Yes that's what I thought but you never actually said that at any point in your initial post.
