I'm confused as this is the AutoIt version!

It's the AutoIt version, however, Autoit is C++ with simpler syntax. Also, this version is replacing the old KidSafe (from before the final build) because this version needs no DLLs, is easier to patch, is smaller, faster, more compatible, and more features can be easily added. If you need confirmation I will get it for you or you can get it yourself but this IS the new KidSafe. (Although, we did skip A LOT of build numbers, so that might confuse people for a bit)

I only say because of what computerfreaker said a week ago (viewtopic.php?p=27658#p27658) Plus I personally don't call AutoIt C++ :) But of course it is an interpreted language.

Ah, well AFAIK we're replacing KidSafe with the Autoit (C++) version. However, I'll check in with computerfreaker on that. Also, do I use the "add entry" link to post the KidSafe Update?

No, you don't have enough forum posts to see the Update link (50+)

It should be tested and then discussed whether it will replace the current entry. Just first impressions it seems alot of features are missing compared to the old version. Another point is this is hosted on googlecode and I can't seem to locate the Source Code!

What do other users think?

Working on it, all the old features should be done by the end of this week, and at the very latest the end of next week if some emergency comes up.

I'll post updates as I complete the features

First, please call your AutoIt version by its proper name. Since there is a real C++ version in development, calling KidSafe AIE a "C++ version" will cause confusion.

At some point, we're replacing KidSafe with the C++ version. The AutoIt version is, at least if my RL stays the way I'm expecting it to, a temporary solution for a temporary problem.

No, no you do not. Please.
Until the AutoIt version is at least up to par with the REALbasic version, I would like to see the PortableFreeware entry remain exactly as it is. Users are going to complain - and rightly so - if we move backwards in the development process after so long without an update. As guinness said, I also don't believe this version has received nearly the amount of testing the REALbasic version did, which means it may have stability issues.

And btw, please don't skip version numbers. The C++ version, fully developed and fully tested, will be v1.0.
