I did test on XPSP3 but the DB entry that joby_toss pointed to indicates support for Win95 / Win98 / WinME / WinNT / Win2K.

Here we go: the version I tested can be listed as an alternative to the latest-and-greatest for Pre-XP systems.

Maybe someone can test if the newest version still works on them.

I would prefer not to put in the entry that the program works for operating systems the main site doesn't list. We might add a note that its functional, but not officially supported.

Just tested the portable mode, seems to work okay. If anyone can verify, I'd be happy to modify the entry with new instructions.

Extraction does not work well in this case. You will get an error about DB files missing when trying to run TheSage. Running the installer and selecting "portable mode" is the way to go.
