VLC 0.9.2.

Download:
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html

The look and feel has changed a bit, but it looks like for the better. It apparently supports even more formats, and now gives you the option to download Album Art. I'm still playing with it to see the new feature set, but check it out!

This version is not stealth when launching vlc.exe with "vlc.exe --no-plugins-cache --config=vlcrc" parameter.
It creates "C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\vlc" with 2 files: ml.xspf and vlc-qt-interface.ini.
It is also a little bit buggy (i get some libvlc.dll errors) so i'll wait for the next version.
Edit: just tried Bernat's version from here and it's stealth, opens fast, no errors.

I got those errors when I extracted it into the folder of my existing vlc (8.6). I received no errors after re-extracting into a clean folder.

Too bad about the vlc folder in the user profile. I wonder why they didn't use a temp directory for the cache?

i love it!

VLC is one of the few apps i actually install. i use it very frequently and i don't want to mess with portable on this one.

not keen on the new buttons but the new menu organization is much cleaner.

but the big one full-screen controls! finally! it took ages, but they're finally here. now i can die happy :)

I got those errors although i deleted everything from inside my old vlc folder and then extracted the new 0.9.2. As soon as i deleted the whole folder and re-extracted 0.9.2 it worked nice. Weird.

It has something to do with the new media library.

I wonder why it's still described as stealth.

for the Free Software fans: if you got GNU/Linux and don't whant to install Adobe Flash...

try this: http://code.revolunet.com/VLCcontrols/V ... ample.html
I works even when the VLC plugin is the only one that is enabled (Flash & Java are disabled) - it isn't stable though, but it's a very good start.
