This app doesn't seem to be available anymore, at least for Windows:

It is available on Sourceforge: http://nikkhokkho.sourceforge.net/stati ... ge=XPlorer
Download latest version (including the source): http://sourceforge.net/projects/nikkhok ... /0.50.113/

Here is the Virustotal analysis (for XPlorer.exe): https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/b9e1 ... /analysis/ (don't jump to any conclusion if you don't understand what those findings mean!).

The author is Javier Gutiérrez Chamorro (Guti), the same developer of FileOptimizer: http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=2377

I have no problem with this software, so I won't retract my vote.

  • You researched this way deeper than I did, so I'm the one retracting the request I posted...

In my defense, I was only minding info available from TPFC, namely comments to the database entry. BTW, I promoted the present topic to be Xplorer (currently v0.50.113 Beta) official one...

Was download link updated? I'm pretty certain that the current download link isn't the same one as before. The previous download page caused all kinds of warnings/lockups/redirections/virus warnings, etc in my browser. That combined with all the negative comments prompted me to post what I did. Should have taken some screenshots. No problems with it now.

Old thread update:

As this program was multiple years old and the author is the same guy behind the excellent FileOptimizer, I'm sure it's not a malicious file. Unfortunately it's still coming up as 19/55 on VirusTotal so the effort to get it off the false-positive list evidently hasn't succeeded, despite several entries listing it as a "heuristic" issue.
