In the changelog for blat, you have the 28th June set as the release date.

Fixed the date (08 was replaced with 28). You were so good in the white-box tests, I was a little disappointed you didn't help with the black-box ones too...
Besides, it felt weird crediting someone from outside the project's "home".
Nevertheless, I've just added you to the top of the "history" page. You do deserve it.

But I still like to know how can self updates be made...

You can't update entries with rank 0. For now, you'll have to ask us when you want the LWBlat GUI entry to be changed.
