Supercopier3

#1 Post by Userfriendly »

Supercopier has been updated to 3.2.6. Settings can be save in Supercopier3.ini file if created or chosen in options menu. Shell extension needs to be manually registered if you want it to automatically handle copy operations from windows explorer. Otherwise, the only way to make use of it is through the tray icon or SC3Config.exe.

Supercopier in database - http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=819
Supercopier3 - http://sourceforge.net/projects/supercopier3/
Website: http://supercopier3.blogspot.com/ or http://ultracopier.first-world.info/
Old versions - http://files.first-world.info/supercopier/

Changes:

- v3.0
- Complete rewrite of the copy interception system, adds support for
Windows Vista, Seven, 8 and all 64 bit Windows. For now, compatibility with
Windows 95, 98 and Millenium has been dropped and 'handled processes' is
deactivated.
- Complete new interface.
- Added sound at finish copy and shutdown pc option.

- v3.0.1
- Some bugs fixed.
- Added remove USB device option.

- v3.0.2
- Some bugs fixed.
- New installer system (DVG Installer System) developed to SuperCopier3.

- v3.2.1.6 (Stable version)
- Some bugs fixed (About 20).
- New version installer system (DVG Installer System 2).
- Stable version (Transparence optional).
- Stable version (USB Safety Remove with SuperCopier3 to eject USB Drives)

This thread could also double for Ultracopier which also has been updated which is similar and seems to work better portably.

Warning: Supercopier in version 3.0.0.0:
http://ultracopier.first-world.info/supercopier.html
is the official version. According to the author, open source and respect the GPL licence.
The news for the version 3:
http://ultracopier.first-world.info/new ... opier.html

The project (supercopier3):
http://sourceforge.net/projects/supercopier3/
is illegal, due to no respect of the GPL tern (don't redistribute the source). And is not official (I can't contact the author). I will port few interresting features to Ultracopier.
Do in delphi 7, then with no free/open source IDE.

I can at least conform that the source code wasn't there. Thought SourceForge didn't host closed-source stuff.

Supercopier3 appears to have disappeared, websites dropped, etc. Problem solved.
