I know how the database works :-/ I meant just posting download links is pointless without some info as to what is new.

Thanks for the update notice. Its not required to include changelog when you post updates. :)

But (correct me if I'm wrong) the sequence was:

- ReadOnly posting the update
- Ennovy updating the database with changelog
- carbonize posting the changelog

That gave me the impression, that ">>" is not well known to everybody.
But anyway, maybe it's a usefull information for some new user.

It's obvious to me, >> means continue or more to follow.

How I took it was carbonize was referring to ReadOnly to supply the changelog.

What I am getting at is the OP reads like there is an update, here's the download links now go find out what changed for yourself. It's like if you were talking to your friend and just said, "There's a new iPhone out." and ended the conversation there.

The purpose of this board is to encourage the users to report updates. If you require too much information no one will do it anymore.

If it's not available on the website, look inside the downloaded archive

I understand, what you like to say. "Long time ago" I did the same - posting an update with changelog. Like you I think it's necessary to give this information. That's why we created the "What's new >>" (aka "Checker-field") for the database.
After the posting of ReadOnly the database was updated with changelog by Ennovy already (before your post). Irfanview showed up on the main page so every user can klick on ">>" to see the information.

But it's not a "bad" thing to post a changelog (especially if it's not added to the database) and I'm thankfull for your help to give this information to us.

IrfanView (setup version) has gone the adware route:

Adding a note to the entry.

There's a dot missing in the 32-bit downloadlink before "zip", otherwise it leads to 404 after you "Click again to start Download".
