It is available a new major version of it:
http://www.photofiltre.com/

Has someone tested if it is fully portable?

It's not Free anymore Lupo73.

Quote:
PhotoFiltre Studio is shareware and is limited to a 30-day trial period. At the end of the 30-day trial
period, if you want to continue using PhotoFiltre Studio you will need to purchase a registration key
from the programs author. If, on the other hand you no longer want to continue using the program
you must remove it from your system immediately.

Photfiltre 7 is the updated version of the previous version 6.52 and is freeware.
Photofiltre Studio is different and as you pointed out, the shareware version.
The major change is the addition of layers.
I have mine running under JauntePe, so can not comment on the portability.
However, it is a great little program and compresses well under UPX.

This is the correct link of the freeware version:
http://www.photofiltre-studio.com/pf7-en.htm

It seems a very good update.. with portable version available..

I can't test it right now, plus the site is a little confusing.

Discussed here
It's portable and stealth if run without admin privileges.

Two months ago I reported to PortableApps.com that PhotoFiltre Portable may leave registry entries behind: http://portableapps.com/node/30542

I planned that they will fix it and I'll switch to PhotoFiltre Portable after that.

However, they still haven't fixed the issue. (Referring to an infamous comment from John T. Haller, PhotoFiltre Portable violates their guidelines of what a portable app is. People who download from PortableApps.com should use care. ) I have to say that I'm very disappointed.

However, tapsklaps created an unofficial test version which I tested and found stealth: http://portableapps.com/node/30542#comment-188866

PhotoFiltre author answered me that is a little busy now, but he will probably fix it during the next month. :D

PortableApps.com has finally fixed the issue: http://portableapps.com/news/2012-06-29--photofiltre-portable-7.0-rev-2-released

Despite the wait, I suggest switching the entry to PhotoFiltre Portable because it's stealth out-of-the-box.

Finally, I must admit this is the best (less worst?) solution.

The author reported me an update that may have fixed portability issues (version 7.0.1 available at the official website).. if you confirm it, we could consider to restore the official portable version on PFC.

The program adds itself to the OpenWithList keys (under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\) for every image format opened.
Anyway, portability is not affected and, in this respect, I agree with you. The natively portable version should be restored, leaving the PA.c version as an alternative.
