Autodesk SketchBook now freeware

#1 Post by smaragdus »

Autodesk SketchBook goes from subscription to freeware. However it still requires Autodesk ID.
Links The developer states that the program is not abandoned:
We will continue to develop SketchBook and SketchBook Pro for Enterprise with a focus on adding functionality to enable product and transportation designers, architects, animators and game designers to express, capture and communicate conceptual art and designs.

Well it's registerware, although we don't technically block that for reasons discussed here.

I wasn't concerned with the legal aspects, really... more like the practical ones, like registry keys and filesystem locations. ;)

Update here: new version came out this year. Now at 8.7.1

I'll bump this over to Submission since registration is no longer a blocker to adding to the database.
