MediCat DVD is a bootable ISO image meant to replace tools such as (the now defunct) Hiren's Boot CD or Ultimate Boot CD, released under the open WTFPL license.

MediCat DVD aims to replace Hiren's Boot CD/DVD, for bleeding edge computers.

This only comes up once a year for me but having a boot CD (like Hirens) has been too useful too many times.
