Rizone’s Internet repair KIT
can be used for fixing Windows Update and Windows Automatic Update issues. If you can’t download and install updates, try running this tool, it should help. In addition, it will also fix the SSL, HTTPS and Cryptographic services for when you’re having trouble connecting or using SSL (Secured) sites (Ex. Banking).
0×80070005 FIX
As the name implies, 0×80070005 FIX will simply attempt to repair the dreaded 0×80070005 error messages when trying to register dll files while installing certain Windows components or programs. Sometimes you will not get this specific error number, but just an Installation Failed message. This tool will in most cases also repair these errors, for example: Internet Explorer 7 installation failure. It will accomplish repairing these errors by restoring your computer to the original installation default security settings.
File Checker
Now and then, just for some peace of mind, I like to do a System File Scan in Windows XP (SFC /SCANNOW). But this is an irritating command line typing way of checking your system files. So, I decided to make a SFC wrapper to make the task as uncomplicated as possible. Included are features to disable file protection and set the cache size (this is useful for saving some hard disk space).
CRPoint
is a utility for simply creating a System Resore Point under Windows XP, with command line options.
RiMD5
is a small freeware utility for calculating the MD5 (Message Digest number 5) checksum values of specified files.
Winsock Repair
can fix most Winsock errors with the push of a button. That’s obviously more comfortable than having to fix the errors manually.
Setup Sources
Now and then, just for some peace of mind, I like to do a System File Scan in Windows XP (SFC /SCANNOW). SFC will ask for my Windows XP installation CD like normal. After inserting the CD, sometimes, I will get a “The CD you provided is the wrong CD.” Error. You will receive this error if you installed or removed a Hard Drive or CD-ROM and Windows changes the drive letters. The installation paths will then point to the wrong location. Not the only reason for this error, but the most common one.
Yes, I can go to my Registry and manually correct my installation paths, but why not just create a little tool to do this for me automatically. And “Setup Sources” was born. You can use Setup Sources to correct your installation paths easily. Try copying the Windows XP Installation file (everything on the CD) to a directory on your computer and configure your installation paths to point to this directory. This will make life a little easier, especially if you love running SFC.
