IP Sniffer is a suite of IP Tools built around a packet sniffer.

Needs either: the new raw socket implementation of Windows2000, WinPcap, a NDIS protocol.
Download @
http://erwan.l.free.fr/sniffer.zip v1.99.1.0
Erwan (the developer) has lots more useful tools listed @
http://erwan.l.free.fr/other/body.html. The ones that I tried and seem portable are IE History and SmartMon.

I had a quick look at that page and tested the following:
Tested ARP Watch: Portable
Tested Firewall: Portable (Not Stealth)
Wrote settings to HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_IPFILTERDRIVER, as this is a wrapper application.
Tested NetStat: Portable
Tested Arp Scan: Not Portable

Cheers, guinness.
IE History = Portable
SmartMon = Portable (tested on Win XP SP3, did not do a damn thing on Win 7 64-bit)

I only tested on Windows XP SP3, so I can't say for the applications I tested whether or not they work on Windows 7.

Definitely like to see a portable firewall when the closest we have to such a thing is
PeerBlock. Is it any good?

There is DCFirewall >>

I just downloaded the source code of
DCFirewall and it's understandable when reading it though I wouldn't want to continue development for obvious reasons.

Due to being written in VB?
