Three utility applications, apparently in early stage of development, all available in portable manifestations (untested). Be advised that, although the name somewhat coincides, (Multi) Clipboard Recorder is not the same program as the one in TPFC's entry at http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=1287...

Window on Top can be used to make any application topmost, that is to keep it above all other windows. This functionality is identical to the "Always on Top" setting found in some programs. With Window on Top you can add this feature to any program.

I will... when I find what I need. :)

I did say 'untested'.

But I reckon those developers that make vain claims of portability deserve the opportunity to come under your scalpel, my dear I am Baas... Plus, who knows if an aborted entry here at TPFC's submission forum doesn't do wonders to push said devs towards true portability for their creations?

(e.g., I made one such suggestion today @ http://www.mirekusoft.com/support/forum?vasthtmlaction=viewtopic&t=2.0)

Midas,

Just out of curiosity when you do test applications for portability what do you use?

Mainly PRIMO, plus manual inspection of %APPDATA%, 'Local Settings' and any registry keys that I find suspicious. By this, you can see I'm not very good at it, so I seldom make claims of portability for applications I submit unless they're validated by reputed third parties (like I am Baas here :) ). But since I'm not a stealth purist, it's all good...

Huh? I can't see why. I only run portable applications on my machine and mostly run them in a virtual environment... I'll pass.

Well, that was actually the point... Midas' request (http://www.mirekusoft.com/support/forum ... opic&t=2.0) was twofold and my joining was basically aimed at strengthening Midas' request to the dev to consider making the application portable.

Since -as you confirmed yourself- you only use portable apps you might even be personally interested to join us and try to persuade Mirekusoft to make their apps portable.

Anyway the point was just to support/up-rate the valid issue Midas raised on that forum... Probably (without specifically calling for I am Baas) I should have better rephrased that part of my original post to read: Would anybody else care to join in order to up-rate the issue?

Sorta following the "United we stand, divided we fall" motto ;)

BTW, I just read Mirekusoft's reply ("...If there's enough interest I think it's something I would certainly consider...") which would indeed indicate that if somebody else would be so nice to offer some backup, the dev might consider to actually do something.

Hope all is clear now (sorry to I am Baas for the confusion)
