Geany Portable by Enrico Tröger now at ver 1.24. This version includes the spell check plugin, although the dictionaries must be downloaded and installed separately. It also includes syntax highlighting for batch files. Supports Windows 2K / XP / Vista / 7 / 7 64 bit. Dictionaries (English) can be downloaded from OpenOffice.org http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/pro ... dictionary. Unzip the aff and dic files from the OO extension to a "dictionaries" folder under the data folder, then configure the plugin with the dictionary files. These instructions from 2009 still work well http://portableapps.com/node/21685.

Geany Portable from PortableApps.com is now at Version 1.24.1. This version doesn't include the spell check plugin. Unsure if it supports batch file syntax highlighting. Forgot to check that before uninstalling it.

Hint: Disable the splash screen and Geany launches much faster.
