A poster evidently didn't want to sign up to the forums to post this, so they put it under the notepad2 entry. Its way too long, so I'm going to
and just paste what the author wrote. This technically belongs in the submission forum, but since the poster is both recommending the program and noting an install bug, I decided to post it in Discussion and move it later if necessary.

If you are planning on installing this into your system...
DO NOT RUN THE INSTALLER FILE !!! it has a bug, and it may crash your system.
You will get an error pop-up and then everything freezes.
This happened on my Win XP w/SP2 box. The version I'm referring to is:
http://notepad2-mod.googlecode.com/file ... _Setup.exeTo install it without problems, just do this:
The EXE unpacks with 7-zip or WinRAR, so just right-click it and extract the files .
One of the unpacked files is named "notepad2.inf" .
Right click it and choose "install" from your context menu; Done .
It uninstalls at "Add-Remove-Programs" .
If you don't want to install it, just run the unpacked files; it is natively portable (INI file in AppDirectory) .
