Textview

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

A recent post by I am Baas (http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/ ... hp?t=20465) prompted me to post an old little gem from Florian Balmer (of Notepad2 fame)...
http://www.flos-freeware.ch/archive.html author wrote:The motivation for this project initiated in 1996 was to have a convenient way to browse the code samples on the Visual C++ 2.0 CD-ROMs, my immeasurable source of inspiration in Win32 programming, at that time.

A note from 'textview.txt' (get files at www.dlldump.com, for instance):
Textview requires the msvcr70.dll and msftedit.dll runtime libraries.
Textview writes its settings to the system registry but they can be fully removed with 'textview.exe /u' command.

Please refer to the included 'textview.txt' for other important notes and tips (e.g., Unicode and UNC paths support).

Download current version (v6.0.12) at http://www.flos-freeware.ch/archive.html.
