Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

Lapce – code editor

#1 Post by webfork »

It's early stage yet so I'm not recommending it, but I was pleased to see that even early in the process they've enabled a portable version. If you were looking for evidence that the portable effort has succeeded, I'd include new projects adopting it out of the gate. Nice to see that.

Written entirely in Rust

Why another code editor? https://github.com/lapce/lapce/blob/mas ... y-lapce.md

Not compatible with Windows 7, apparently -- will retest on 10...

Discussion on hackernews, https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=30708505, windows 7 not likely to happen based on some comments as it uses some newer Windows Apis (not that I know anything about such things, just happened to notice the thread)

Thanks for the info, lintalist -- it's cool, I just wish I'd seen some notice before even trying to run it... :|
