MSLB is an advanced logbook application that binds together the simplicity of making worklogs or diaries.
The logs get saved in a simple folder system which is "App/home dir\year\monthname\year.month.daynumber.txt"
MSLB also contains the possibility to create presets to lessen your typing!.

To make MSLB portable, set rootdir=portable in the settings.conf file.

Good submission -- I like this for taking down notes about what you're working on and issues/problems. Its like a stripped down RedNotebook. Any idea how to get it to list standard rather than military time (e.g. 3:10 pm, not 15:10)?

I think the "Presets" window is for frequently used text/code bits. So if you are always typing out "Project Alpha" and "Project Beta" you can put those in the presets and just paste them in by double-clicking. Edit: if you don't want it, you can make it go away by just dragging down the mid-frame to the bottom of the window.

    Few more stats:

      License: GPL v.3
      Disk use: 12 m
      RAM: 9.5 m
Cross platform. Available for Linux, Solaris, Android, BSD, Mac, and there's a "portable bundle", which could easily just be a version with an included config change Baas mentioned.

the military time was choosed because when i tested with AM/PM then i had to make the program manually check if it was AM/PM by using military time anyway, but if its a requested feature then i will see what i can do with it.

The presets feature was inspired by the geany text editors snippets function ^^ sadly cant make that hidden by default due to limitations in the framework i use :P

but i am glad to see people like my simple logbook, its something i use everyday at work myself(which explains why my presets in the screenshots are in norwegian) :)

but if you guys got any feature requests dont be shy to post one in the blog comments on my homepage or in the tracker on sourceforge.net

PS: i have never heard about RedNotebook

If you want to name the individual files that way, I think that's fine for simplicity of cataloging, but I thought it showing up in the main program that way was a little distracting. Other users (especially those from the military or military families) will certainly prefer it.

Definitely -- this is a useful, easy program that I can see finding many uses. Thanks for producing it.

Certainly -- if you'd like me to post an official bug report/feature request on your site, I'd be happy to.

Just to be clear, the suggestion is not that you were somehow borrowing from RedNotebook, just that users familiar with that program may find something of value with yours.
