Flashnote

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

Added a note about the language files to the "How to extract" procedure.

Also, Flashnote is set to check for updates every 30 days by default; this can be disabled under Options.

BTW, IE "Smart Screen" blocks the download; I had to use an alternative browser :evil:

Thanks for the edit. Actually the language files occupy more space than the executable itself so deleting the unnecessary languages is a good idea.

@I am Bass has already mentioned that 'Smart Screen' blocks the download.

Microsoft Security Essentials also deletes the file because of a virus detect.

I am curious as to whether other anti-virus products detect anything.
Has anyone used virustotal?

Flashnote at version 4.8, changes:
  • Added: Support for data synchronization between computers using cloud services like Dropbox, OneDrive, etc. Use Options -> Database -> Clone and Switch in order to move your database to the corresponding folder. For portable users: don't try to move the whole program folder into Dropbox, only the database file!
  • Please note that this version does not support Windows XP\Vista

Flashnote version 4.8 no longer supports Windows XP and Windows Vista, XP and Vista users may get Flashnote version 4.7 from Flashnote download page.
