RadioSure Portable

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

So what does registering do?

I don't know yet. No info about that on the website.
I'll wait for the final version and see if they keep the registering process. I'd like to believe it is just for testing, but I think it will be shareware. :(

Ethervane Radio is a project to follow. It was released as a NANY 2011 application but still is in a very early stage of development.

http://www.donationcoder.com/forum/inde ... ic=25068.0 (download link is at the end of the first post)

To enable portable mode, open master.config file with a text editor (notepad) and change portable=0 to portable=1. Run ethervaneradio.exe.

Well, that's it guys! RadioSure went payware.
There is still a free version offered for download, but don't know for how long. If anything is sure for me, it is the fact that I'm never gonna pay for an internet radio player.

P.S. 2.1.969 version still found at Softpedia.

Bad news. Good news is that there are alternatives and online apps like radiotime.com.

I'm not sure about the features of the last 2.1 version; were they about the same as the new 2.2 Pro version and the new 2.2 Free version is restricted even in comparison to the older versions?

2.1.969 has more features compared to the 2.2 free version.

The new (portable) version writes to the registry @

It must have something to do with the install date (first run) or the license ... but it doesn't matter anymore! ;)

Hint: there are still a few tricks we can do using old and new versions combined (like old .exe using new stations file) :) .

@ I am Baas
Thanks for the hint.

Dirty thing that is. The author wants to earn money with this app. That's OK for me. Why not? His creation, his time, his work. BUT! Why does he has to smuggle into the prog some "Enigma Protector" keys for the registry? I don't understand it. What should this be good for? Why not: "Hey guys, thanks for having supported the app so far, I am gonna make it entirely payware soon."

I will stick with the last 2.1 version and use it (maybe) as long as it works and then leave it as soon as it quits working. However the Enigma keys are deleted for good.

BTW, for those who may find it interesting:

"Enigma Protector" => http://www.enigmaprotector.com

(Swear!!!)

  1. Visit the http://www.radiosure.com/stations/ and scroll down to "Download updated stations database [date]"
  2. Compare the date to the date listed in the RSD file inside the Radiosure\Stations folder
  3. If the website has a newer list, download the zip file from the link and extract the content to the Radiosure\Stations folder
  4. Delete any old RSD files
