I retested this with the new version and was again disappointed you couldn't generate a 7z file in DoubleCommander on Mac. There is a workaround: every 7zip-compatible program I tested will also open .LZMA files. So you can just rename a file to end in .7z and send.

Portable? Yes
Stealth? I don't know
Unicode? Apparently yes

Thanks for the suggestion -- we actually already have a thread dedicated to that program. I'll go ahead and merge.

* Double Commander *

Read About it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_Commander

Double Commander Home: https://doublecmd.sourceforge.io/

Double Commander is a free and open-source multi-platform two-panel orthodox file manager that is inspired by the Microsoft Windows-only Total Commander.

It accepts and uses Total Commander Plugins!

In https://sourceforge.net/p/doublecmd/wiki/Download/ you'll find 32 and 64-bit Portable Packages.
and (just in case) create a file named "doublecmd.ini" containing:

[Configuration]
UseIniInProgramDir=1

Features include:
• All operations work in the background with threading operations support.
• Tabbed panels interface with full drag & drop support.
• Custom toolbar with buttons to launch external programs or internal menu commands.
• Copy/Move files and folders via clipboard.
• File colouring by search templates.
• Custom columns.
• Built in file viewer (F3) to view files in hex, binary or text format, views GIFs.
• Internal text editor (F4) with syntax highlighting.
• Archives are handled like subdirectories. You can easily copy files to and from archives. Supported archive types: ZIP, TAR GZ, TGZ, LZMA and also BZ2, RPM, CPIO, DEB, RAR
• Test archives command –calculate/verify checksum.
• Extended search function with full text search in any files.
• Quick filter.
• Natural sorting mode.
• Configurable button bar to start external programs or internal menu commands.
• Supports WCX, WLX, WDX and WFX plugins from Total Commander (also supports own DSX plugin format).
• FTP support (via standard plugin).
• Network support (Windows built-in, Linux via standard plugin).
• Compare by Contents shows a window with two panels with the files to compare (usually text).
• File operations logging.
• File operations queue.
• Auto update mount disk list.
• Embedded console.
• Multi-rename tool which allows renaming any files by defined mask.
• Unicode support.
• Highly customizable.

Like Free Commander, only better ... but it might need some customization...
