Hi all,

This is a little app I'm in the process of developing (should be perfectly usable at this point though). It's a queue-based clipboard extender - every time you copy an item, it gets pushed onto a queue, you can then pop stuff off via hotkeys. It also has a menu interface like nearly every other clipboard app.

Stores all settings in an .ini file and is only 40k. GPL. Natively ANSI, but supports Unicode data on the clipboard (and images, binary data, etc). Should theoretically run on any Windows from 95 on up.

Cute little program that I'll probably use for a while. But two things don't work here: the two date formats don't get entered properly (just little squares or question marks show, depending on the application in which I want to paste), and the file loaded in the Preferences... "Custom Items" cannot be used for pasting at all.

Hrm. You're right. Damn.

Well, off to do some coding then. I'll have 0.9.1 up in a bit hopefully.

New version up, fixes all the stuff you mentioned plus some other things. I did run into some problems that were specific to XP, which I don't have, so that slowed things down a lot :/

Anway, have at it.

Posted to the database. Thanks!

I kinda like this because it doesn't seem to be as resource heavy as the other clipboard extenders I have tried.

Will let it sit in my system tray for a couple of days and see how well it fits in.

Thanks for developing QClip and making it freeware!

It seems to work fine now, Aaron. Found the program to be real useful, quite unexpectedly. :)

Here's a very minor glitch, that you could undo (if you want):

The field for the hotkeys in Preferences.... /Keys/ "Shortcut Key" is probably a bit too small for different localized Windows versions. On a German Windows, for instance, the combination "CTRL+SHIFT+ALT" reads as "STRG+UMSCHALT+ALT", and the letter after that is no more displayed within that field. Probably, in other languages those abbreviations for the standard keys are longer too and the shortcut cannot be seen then either. You might increase that field by a few digits (if you care about other localized Windows versions).

No problem, I'll make it wider in the next release.
