ColorBug

#1 Post by I am Baas »

ColorBug is a handy color-picker tool, which makes it simple to select colors. It allows to determine colors from other applications, and to find matching colors. This is especially useful for designing websites, and other graphic works.

Just tested Colorbug: always crashes on startup on Windows XP Pro SP3 with an unhelpful error message (in language of system locale, instead of system default...). :(

Apologies, Midas. ColorBug requires .net 4 to run :(

  • Oh, I see. It could at least state so, instead of making me wonder what in heavens was wrong with my computer... :P

    Thanks, Baas.

ColorBug

The name may be ambiguous, the program itself is straightforward, It's one of my long-time little helpers.

Website with Download-Link: https://www.martinstoeckli.ch/colorbug/

The portable version is stealth imo.
The exe is small (269 kB) but slow on first start-up.

Features
  • the usual options: Keep on top, copy values as Hex, Html, RGB etc
  • nice: exporting user palettes to Gimp, PaintShopPro, Adobe Swatch
  • exceptional: Creating gradients and generating the CSS code
Cannot add my screenshots, don't know what's wrong, it won't keep them as attachments

ColorBug has already been reviewed here.

@FileHandler
I appreciate your efforts but before posting a new topic you may check whether the program hasn't already been reviewed.

I'll merge the threads this weekend. Glad to see FileHandler's interest and maybe ColorBug is overdue for addition to the DB.

Thanks.

@FileHandler
I have also posted about programs that have been reviewed, don't worry and thanks for the screen-shots. I was reminded of programs I had forgotten so thank you.
