SanDisk SecureAccess

#1 Post by webfork »

For folks with a SanDisk USB device, there's some free security software:
SanDisk SecureAccess v3.01 is a fast, simple way to store and protect critical and sensitive files on SanDisk USB flash drives.

Access to your private vault is protected by a personal password, and your files are automatically encrypted - so even if you share your SanDisk® USB flash drive or it becomes lost or stolen, access to your files are safe.

Note: SecureAccess is not required to use your flash drive as a storage device on Mac or PC. SecureAccess is a complimentary data encryption and password protection application.

I definitely prefer other tools, but if you're looking for something easy and accessible, you could do much worse. It's probably portable.

When it comes to portable storage, SanDisk has managed to remain a favorite brand for more years than I'm willing to count (e.g., I'm currently looking at a 16GB Cruzer Contour on my desktop that's roughly 10 years old) and although I have never used their software this is still good to know. Thanks. :)
