If you are using PuTTY or KiTTY to access remote systems via SSH you may want to have a look at WinSSHTerm.

Welcome to TPFC.

Does your program require administrator rights to run? WinSCP?

Welcome.
By the way WinSSHTerm has been reviewed at Softpedia, the reviewer- Catalin Chelariu rated it 4.0/5.

Thank you

@I am Baas
You don't need administrator rights to run WinSSHTerm. I'm using it myself at work, where I don't have admin rights. WinSCP is optional - you'll need it only if you want to use the feature "copy files".

A screen-shot of WinSSHTerm version 1.6.0 with "Support WinSSHTerm" button:

Image

I will not personalize my copy of WinSSHTerm because I do not find it useful:
  • it is just a GUI for open source tools (which do not beg for donations)
  • it is not open source (WinSSHTerm license)
  • it requires .NET
  • I do not tolerate donation buttons
So after I post this message my unpersonalized copy of WinSSHTerm will end in recycle bin.

If there weren't "Support WinSSHTerm" button I might have voted for WinSSHTerm to make it public and visible since if KiTTY portable is used in stead of PuTTY, WinSSHTerm seems to be portable- in fact that was why I decided to test it.

Perhaps someone else will find WinSSHTerm useful, will donate, personalize their copy and vote for it.

I browsed through WinSSHTerm change log at its web-site and at Softpedia but I didn't find when was this new button added which means that this change is sneaky and undocumented.

@smaragdus

Ok, I see - you don't find my software useful without ever having actually used it...

I perfectly know that you haven't used it - because if so, you'd have seen this 10 SECONDS NAG:

I'm totally convinced in the quality of WinSSHTerm - and thankfully so do others.

@pst.freeware
I have never said I used WinSSHTerm- I pointed out that I do not like indiscreet donation buttons and automatically discard programs featuring such buttons.
Thank you for the screen-shot you provided- I suppose that it will spare some users efforts and frustration.
The quality of WinSSHTerm may be great but the name of this site is The Portable Freeware Collection, not The Portable Nagware Collection and I doubt whether there are many users here who are fond of nag-screens.
Good luck.

A few notes here:
  • There is no policy against donation buttons e.g. ShareX or OneWay Backup.
  • Nagware is against policy. This isn't some dictum handed down from on high -- both users and visitors have been consistently against it.
  • There's no issue with Nagware programs being discussed in forums.

Thanks for clearing that up. I decided to remove the nag screen. The donation button will remain, but as I understood this is not against the policy.

PS: I can't edit the entry for WinSSHTerm in order to upload the new nag free version 1.6.1 - it seems now only members with a rank > 0 are permitted to do that.

Sorry I didn't reply to this sooner but that's by design -- we want anyone to be able to add an entry but we only want users who have been on the site for a while to modify entries. Please just post if you need a change posted.

Very cool. The window management bit highlighted is a great idea.
