That's a shame. Some of the screenshots on the site looked amazing.

At least Digital Clock offers export and import of settings. I haven't updated to the latest version (4.4.2) because it requires uninstallation of previous versions:
Warning [Windows Only]! Installer toolkit was changed. Upgrades are NOT supported temporary.
Before installing this version any previous version must be completely uninstalled. All settings will be lost. You can backup your current clock settings using "Export" button, and then restore them using "Import". Installing current version over any installed may lead to undefined behavior and problems with uninstalling!
Program features can be extended via plug-ins.
I have encountered a strange bug when I use Dexpot and multiple monitors- when I switch from one monitor to another Digital Clock virtually stops- screen-shot:

I haven't yet reported this problem to the developer.

Digital Clock at version 4.4.4, Change Log.
The problem with Dexpot persists in version 4.4.4- switching to a desktop where all desktop icons are hidden and then back to normal desktop causes Digital Clock to stop- I finally contacted the developer submitting this bug.

@smaragdus
If the developer is responsive, can you please ask for a portable version too? Thanks.

@I am Baas
I did. ;) Besides the bug report I also asked for this:
- A plug-in for chiming on every quarter of an hour.
- A plug-in for time synchronization (using a list of servers).
- A portable version that requires no installation and saves all data and settings inside its program folder.

Good news- the developer of Digital Clock replied to my message, in short:
-the bug I mentioned is caused by the Qt framework, he is investigating the problem.
-there will be a portable version (only x32) of Digital Clock very soon.

Great news- the developer Nick Korotysh released the first portable test version of Digital Clock:
portable version is available now. all settings are stored in "settings.ini" beside executable.
now clock position will be exported with other settings too
also I added "Show/Hide Clock" option to.
I have Digital Clock installed and I was afraid that the portable version might try to load anything from registry but nothing like that happened- all settings are saved in and loaded from settings.ini file inside program folder. Hide Clock/Show Clock tray commands (very useful in my opinion when the user needs a clean desktop without exiting the program) also work fine. This version 4.4.4+ might be labelled testing but it seems to be very stable.

All the test builds can be found here. To get the portable version just download the archive (digital_clock_4-win_portable.zip), extract it and run the executable (digital_clock.exe).

I have already thanked the developer but I want to do it once again here:

Nick, thank you very much for the portable version and for your excellent work!

+ 1

It would be great if the auto check for updates will not be pre-selected in the portable version.
