With all the attention text editors have been getting lately here a TPFC -- kudos fly out to TP109 for his extensive testing -- I was surprised to find no submission of this one...

Coming from UVViewSoft -- a developer that has already given us Universal Viewer, SynWrite, and LogViewer -- CudaText (http://www.uvviewsoft.com/cudatext/) is a multi-platform programmer oriented text editor available for MacOS, Linux and Windows.
http://www.uvviewsoft.com/cudatext/ wrote:CudaText is a cross-platform text editor, written in Lazarus.

Credit to billon, for sure. And I also confirm that. Funny enough, other SF pages and downloads appear to be working... :?

Thanks for posting. It's always useful to read independent evaluations of this type. The comments for the article are the most interesting and telling part.

but doesn't handle as large as files
1- Confirm that Cudatext is NOT for large files, files of 10MB is already not gut, and 20MB+ are sure bad
Cuda is for coding. Not for log. Coding is files 1-2Mb, some JS'es are big, some Htmls big,
but others not. And SQL dumps are. Sure. SQL dumps may be of 50-100MB size. well for such files use N++...

or as many languages for coding. with syntax highlighting.
Nonsence.
Cudatext like Synwrite, has about 170 lexers. Not 70, 170. It is big number. Yes i know that ST3
has maybe 300+ lexers but 170 is very big too. NPP is bad here. NPP lexers are XML files which is total horror
to use, i need to download xml, i need to copy-paste it in some place, and i need to copy-paste more xmls if i install more lexers...
It's horror and Synwrite is ok here- it has lexers in zip, and i don't need to copy-paste it.
Cuda like Synwrite, lexers in zip...
So compare with NPP is bad here..
