Partition Logic (HDD utility)

#1 Post by Midas »

I guess we should consider Partition Logic (PL) portable, since it is able to run without installation and leaves no traces apart from the changes an utility of this sort is supposed to. :)

In reality, PL is rather a complete portable OS (for info, see Visopsys: http://visopsys.org/) with the tiniest footprint. PL still has some limitations that are bound to erode as its development progresses: it doesn't support non-USB SCSI HDD, can't format partitions as NTFS(!) or EXT3, can't resize FAT or EXT filesystems, and it doesn't support PCMCIA.

Download PL latest release (currently v0.76; see http://partitionlogic.org.uk/changes/) in either a USB, CD ISO, or Floppy Disk(!) image file from http://partitionlogic.org.uk/download/.
