TakeStock is a share trading portfolio manager

http://www.ravib.com/takestock/

It's a self-extracting zip download, portable by design. I have also checked myself and did not find any registry entries or files outside of its application directory.

It's the best I have found, but hasn't been updated in a while. It has a few problems:

- No third decimal place for stock prices
- I believe the CAGR is calculated incorrectly for stocks held for a short time
- The "price chg" column does not appear to be able to display negative values
- On my home machine, WinXP SP2, some columns have the 1000's truncated and the decimals are cut off, works fine on my work machine though, WinXP SP3
- Support is very slow, I posted the last bug four months ago and have had no response

- All data is maintained in the files TakeStock.db and TakeStock.ini, located in C:\TakeStock.
- Backup copies of TakeStock.db are stored in C:\TakeStock\backup.
Forget about the above... files created in the application folder.

What do you mean? Are you suggesting this should not be included?

The files are only stored in C:\TakeStock if that is where it is run from. It is portable.

TESTED: Portable

No, it simply means that forget about saying "writes data to C:\TakeStock" but instead use "Application folderW when adding to the database.
I thought at first he meant forget about adding because it writes to the %APPDATA% folder, but then I understood.

Yup, guinness is correct... I first read the notes on http://www.ravib.com/takestock/download.htm but then downloaded the program and tested for portability. Sorry for the confusion.
