With V0.8.7 comes the ability to add additional Programs using
winapp2.ini* Follow the steps below to add 440+ Applications to BleachBit.
1. Navigate to the BleachBit directory where
bleachbit.exe is located.
2. Copy
winapp2.ini to the folder
share\cleaners
3. You will then see additional Programs in BleachBit, with the hint
Imported from winapp2.ini to distinguish the difference between the CleanerXML files and
winapp2.ini.
*winapp2.ini is a file that is used to add additional Programs to
CCleaner.

0.8.8 is out
BleachBit 0.8.8 automatically downloads and updates winapp2.ini (535 extra cleaners and growing); cleans significantly more in Firefox, Google Chrome, and Chromium; adds six new translations; and more.

Let's hope CCleaner will add the option to download winapp2.ini.

I'm one of the moderators over at Piriform (CCleaner). We have a HUGE winapp2.ini file that is community updated/hosted/maintained available in the forums
http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310
as of today 534 entires and growing.
My bet is that that one updates more often (or BleachBit is pulling from there)

Question is who checks what is in the winapp2 file? I seem to remember that the MediaMonkey entry for it pretty much deleted everything in the temp folder.

Its what I listed in the CCleaner entry and I reckon the same too.
Question is who checks what is in the winapp2 file?
I always do a comparison of before and after using TextDiff (can be found in TPFC).

No when I say who checks it I mean who checks what has been set to be deleted with each entry in it. As I said I remember the MediaMonkey entry was just set to delete the whole of the Windows temp folder. A quick look shows me most of the entries are good but all it would take is for an entry to just be like %APPDATA%

The Users who post the entries usually test them. When I, or the member who is compiling them, or any other member has a program we check out the testing (I even at times will install a program to test it) they're usually caught pretty fast.
but yes we do catch right away something such as
FileKey1=%appdata%|recurse
especially since he is typing all the entries into it manually
(Please note, it is not my goal/attempt to hijack this thread or downplay BleachBit which I do use on my linux distribs)
Like the Above poster, I also compare my Winapp2.ini with the new one. (I use WinMerge Portable for that) and I have a number of entires that I've commented out or moved to winsys2.ini.
