Requires admin rights and .net 3.5, but it's a nice app.

Agreed: looks great.

I always like to see this: demonstration software used to demonstrate itself. For example, if you've got a screenshot or help file program, it should have some screenshots and help files created using the program itself.

Program appears to have been updated in Aug 2018. I can't find a clear changelog but the Twitter account seems to suggest the latest update supports sound, which is cool but also amusing as GIFs don't support sound.

v4.5 changes

Disabled spacebar toggling mute sound in editor
Fixed a bug where time remapping could cause a crash
Made sound recording optional for PCs without Sound Mix

License: Since not paying *some* amount of money (it's "pay what you want") means a bar at the bottom of exported videos/GIFs, it's not freeware.

---

EDIT: Recording didn't seem to function correctly on my Win7x86 machine. The video-to-GIF editor worked well and might be a nice complement to ScreenToGif.

---

EDIT2: I saw a few notes about getting banned on Reddit, but the program got a 3/54 rating on VirusTotal (safe) so I'm not sure what went wrong there. https://www.virustotal.com/file/7b839ec ... /analysis/
