Resonic is a slick audio player and browser, built around a big waveform view.

Resonic plays your music files, sounds and samples right out of your existing folder structure. It's built to be fast, reliable, and powerful. It does what it is supposed to do, without the bloat, and with exceptional usability.

Resonic is extremely handy for wading through large numbers of audio files. It can be used and understood by anyone, but it also comes with features for advanced users, audio professionals, and music producers.

Pleasing interface, fast as promised. Cool! :)

Some suggestions/requests:

- Don't run automatically at the end of installation, as per information on the installation completion dialog (I had to kill it manually);

Image

- A mini-player option would be most welcome, perhaps with a forth button on to the left of the "minimize, maximize, close" combo to roll Resonic up to a title bar with song name and playing buttons;

- The song list should have at least the standard context menu, plus the column headers (File name, Size, Artist, etc.) should be made selectable and have its ordering altered -- same as in the common Windows explorer file details listing;

- There should be options for auto-play and to include sub-folders in the file list.

All noted. Those features are planned, especially the sub-folders feature is on priority.

Users will be asked whether they want to run the program or not, starting with the next release. Besides that there'll be a portable .zip with pre-edited "resonicboot.ini" available for download.

This hasn't been added to the database yet.

A fully portable stand-alone download as .zip file is available here: http://resonic.at/get/alpha/portable

It runs in full stealth, only writes to the .exe directory.

Resonic will only be added to the database if someone takes the effort of adding it.

You can add it yourself at http://www.portablefreeware.com/edit.php. If you do so, please submit the link to the entry here.

Note that Resonic won't immediately be publicly visible when added. See http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/ ... =12&t=5651 for details.

Says I have insufficient rights, even though I submitted apps before. Explains why I didn't see the submission link / button.

A newly registered user previously has to wait 7 days before he can start adding private apps to the database.

In view of the success of the new anti-spam measures, I have reduce that safety interval to just one day. So you should be able to add apps now.

Thanks, two and Checker. :)

(@two: maybe you could size down your screenshots above, so they don't break the forum layout on smaller screens...)

The latest Alpha (620) changelog indicates a new functionality that could make Resonic invaluable for professional use...
