Features missing (IMHO):
- URL detection/activation (preferably with double click or CTRL+click to avoid collision with text selecting);
- 'Toggle Case' should cycle through UPPER/lower/Sentence/And Title (currently only does UPPER/lower and deselects afterward);
- 'File Types' list (code highlighters) should be user editable, allowing for a subset to be displayed;
- The toolbar should also be made user configurable (currently only function sets can be hidden/shown);
- Search and Replace should be better integrated, giving both the docking/floating capability and regular expression options;
- Click (anywhere) and type should be made optional.
I sent the author a link to your post.

I hope his work on this project was on his resume or helped him get the job. I've told potential employers about my work here (when relevent). It's a great argument when they say "we have a weird system of doing things" and I can respond "I have used 100s of different software tools each with their own odd interface -- I can learn it."

Currently testing the functionality of this editor based on the discussion here. Impressions so far:
small download
launches quickly enough
nice skins
file comparison feature is very handy
small footprint

I like it so far
