Not portable!

It writes to
[C:\Registry Recycler\RegDefrag\Backup] folder
[C:\user\all\Registry Recycler\RRR] file
[HKLM\software\Wow6432Node\RegistryRecycler] registry branch

What do you think "portable" means? No, I'm not trying to offend you! I really want to know what you think!

It would be good policy to preemptively disallow posting of new entries to the database by single posters, even if they stay private.

IMHO, the correct route in such cases would be for those entries to be posted to the "Portable Freeware Submission" forum; only after gathering some community fu (or better portability awareness) should such posting be allowed. As it is, the current status looks like an open invitation for this to happen over and over...

Lastly, this topic should probably be moved to "Freeware That Are Not Portable"...

As far as I can see this doesn't do anything that Wise Registry Cleaner doesn't do already except that is portable.

Registry Recycler v0.9.2.4 seems portable; scanning is extremely slow... I had to terminate after a loooooooong 10 minutes. Why backups are stored in temp folder?

Q) scanning is extremely slow

A) Please uncheck Program Shortcuts
Program Shortcuts category is used to check the entire System Drive (typically C:) for shortcuts.
The more files in System Drive, the more time it will take.

Q) Why backups are stored in temp folder

A) Temp folder is used in two cases;
1) Backups - If the program is not allowed to write in Application folder it will use Temp folder instead
2) Defrag - It needs a System Drive (typically C:) location to write temporary files as registry hives are in System Drive.
If Registry Recycler is run from drive other than System Drive, it will create Defrag temporary Files in Temp folder, which is located in System Drive.

registryrecycler: I deleted your other post (as it's a duplicate) and just moved this thread over to the Submission forum.

Registry Recycler at version 0.9.2.9, change log.

I wouldn't call Registry Recycler freeware but nagware:
Registry Recycler 0.9.2.9 - 2016-05-21 - 001.png
Registry Recycler 0.9.2.9 seems portable (rrsettings.ini) but I didn't dare let it fix anything. I abhor nagware disguised as freeware- it shows registration screen every second run.

Good catch.

This may not belong in the submissions thread but for the moment I've added a "nagware" bit to the top of the thread title.
