QupZilla is a new and very fast QtWebKit browser. It aims to be a lightweight web browser available through all major platforms. This project has been originally started only for educational purposes. But from its start, QupZilla has grown into a feature-rich browser.
QupZilla has all standard functions you expect from a web browser. It includes bookmarks, history (both also in sidebar) and tabs. Above that, you can manage RSS feeds with an included RSS reader, block ads with a builtin AdBlock plugin, block Flash content with Click2Flash and edit the local CA Certificates database with an SSL Manager.

They've replied already.
Hi,
currently, only profile data are written outside program directory (Documents/.qupzilla folder).
There is no writing into windows register.
I will add build DEFINE to use profile directory inside exe directory and probably release standalone portable build

On Win 7 64 QupZilla writes to Users\username\.qupzilla\profiles\default:
certificates folder

I really liked this site's format along with github to enable bug/feature submissions. Other sites should definitely use this model.
Nemo Docs (not portable but a great idea) also has an great system using the
getsatisfaction (not a free service) site.

With the 'zilla' in it's name I was expecting this to actually use Gecko despite the fact I know all QT browsers use WebKit. Bit of a misleading name.
So how does this compare to QtWeb ?

The author has added that DEFINE.

From now on, it's possible to compile a portable version of QupZilla. However, it seems the author hasn't done that (yet?).

Thank you, Emka.
Tested V1.1.5.
Now only writes qtsingleapp-QupZil-b880-1-lockfile to Temp folder in user\current\AppData\Local\ + the usual Trolltech keys to the registry.

Thanks Emka and Baas for checking into this. Its a pretty happy turn of events that we ask a developer to change a program where there's community interest and the very next release sees a portable version. I hope we see more examples in the same the way
nowrep executed here.

Writes .customDestinations-ms file in AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\CustomDestinations (Win 7 only, it's for Jump List files data)
