Quick feature breakdown:
  • VST plugins support
  • Real-time preview of effects - which is usually much better, even though some of the best effects require a lot of computing power and can't be done real-time.
  • Multiselection for delicate editions - something I don't think any of our other editors can do
  • Efficient edition of large files
  • Fully featured spectrogram

That would be nice.

I made a wrapper in a few seconds using my prepared launcher template :)

http://rolandtoth.hu/files/ocenaudio_po ... wrapper.7z

You can use UniExtract to extract the ocenaudio installer and put program files to the App folder.

Source files are included though the registry parts are completely removed because they were not needed here.

Thanks! Works perfect.

Btw, I usually use yaP instead of compiled launchers as it's easier to set up.

Here's the yaPped version:
http://rolandtoth.hu/files/ocenaudio_yaP.7z

Donno if it works on Win7 because there's no "%LOCALAPPDATA%" variable on XP so I had to use "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data".

Ocenaudio

I played a bit with v2.0.10 today. Few notes:
  • The real star here is the interface: very crisp and easy to use. There's a good reason why it includes an audio screenshot feature: it's a beautiful view. It's genuinely inviting and pulls you right in to playing with the settings and tweaking stuff. Just as a pathway to your VST plugins alone, it's pretty sweet.
  • The audio record tool was also very nice, giving you a waveform of your audio output smoothly and almost immediately.
  • Supports a TON of audio formats both input and output (open and save), many I've never heard of.
  • In terms of features, I'm not sure what this does that Wavosaur doesn't (apart from a normalization issue mentioned ... somewhere on the site ... can't find it...)

Wishlist
  • Some included help within the program - think they want you to go to the website for any issues and I didn't have a net connection when I was testing this.
  • More color controls for the waveform. I'm aware this is stupid because I just want the program to be prettier rather than more useful, but whatever.

Some time ago (to my knowledge from version 3.0.2 onwards) the developer of ocenaudio released portable versions (both x32 & x64) which in my tests didn't prove to be portable and didn't work fine. I contacted the developer but never got response so I switched back to the installer version of ocenaudio. If someone would like to test these portable versions they are available at the download page (ocenaudio_portable.zip & ocenaudio64_portable.zip).
