So while looking from a way to connect two PCs via Wifi without buying a router,
i found this:
http://www.mhotspot.com/Quote:
mhotspot is a free-software(with-out installation)that converts your wifi enabled LAPTOP/PC running windows 7 OS into a virtual wifi hotspot and share your internet through wifi to other laptops, smartphones,PDA's,Tablet-PCs or any other wifi connectivity devices.
unfortunately i dont have Windows 7, so i cant test if this is really portable and such,
there is an article on it here:
http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-ti ... -mhotspot/which mentions it as portable:
Quote:
MHotSpot is a portable application which simplifies the process of sharing your wireless network connection with other computers and devices such as Android, Symbian phones, printers and Tablet PC.
So. Yeah.
but *I* cant say its portable, so it needs testing.

Also, if Anyone knows something like this thatll run on WinXP, (preferably portable, ofcourse,

) please leave a link in the thread, ^-^
really what i want to do is connect an old laptop to my XP computer that has a USB wifi 'Linksys AE 1000'
and when its not connected to a network, its always listed as 'disconnected' so an adhoc network wont work, ...plus im not sure if that would let other devices connect, ...say like a touchpad i was playing with, O=P
