Rsync.net Backup Agent

Just came across Rsync.net Backup Agent, a Rsynch based client for Windows backup, which offers some portability promise -- the installer package can be (Uni)extracted, and settings location are configurable in the program (advanced mode) interface (see below). Backup Agent also offers to download a Rsync Windows installer(!), and appears to be compatible with Amazon S3 (untested!). Anyway, here it is for further community inspection...

This tool allows you to create and maintain multiple backup profiles, supports open files (like exchange and SQL Server) and performs powerful encryption and compression functions. In addition, you are able to maintain multiple versions of files and create exclusion lists for files you do not wish to include. Backups are done efficiently, with only the changes in your files being sent over the network.

Download Rsync.net Backup Agent current version (v6.31) from www.rsync.net /resources/howto/windows_backup_agent.html.

This is surely a rip-off of Syncovery? Program icon and window layout are exactly the same!

Found something saying it's a rebranding but I can't find anything on the site about that.

@gezley: thanks for such worthy contribution.

The program folder includes, among others, a 'SyncoveryVSS.exe' file (v1.2) attributed to Super Flexible Software -- I seriously doubt Rsync.net is distributing this without a license.

OTOH, isn't Syncovery payware? Looks like we're looking the proverbial gift horse in the mouth ...

Yes -- to the best of my knowledge and considering I was never an active user... :(

@webfork: please move to payware. Thanks.
