mixxx - DJ program

#1 Post by pizzaazzip »

It is a open source dj program that saves a folder in documents and settings but other than that is fully functional. portable apps made a beta version of it but I never got it to work.

Mixxx v2.0 is released (changelog is at http://mixxx.org/manual/latest/chapters ... on-history).

Mixxx is a very well documented multi-platform FLOSS and freeware specialized tool that, contrary to my previous belief, doesn't really require specific hardware:

Vanilla Mixxx isn't portable; latest version 32 and 64-bit packages can be downloaded from http://mixxx.org/download/.

BTW, winPenPack has an old X-Mixxx v1.10.1 [rev6] at http://www.winpenpack.com/main/download.php?view.828. John T. Haller put some work into a newer Mixxx Portable v1.7.2 (beta) release at http://portableapps.com/node/23093.

@webfork: I suggest a move to non-portable freeware forum for the time being. Thanks in advance.

That's Gord's earlier test build. The latest version (Mixxx Portable 2.0 Pre-Release 1) is here: http://portableapps.com/node/55525

Please test it to ensure it works fully portably as paths change and post feedback in that thread so we can do a stable release.
