AOMEI products have been mentioned around TPFC forums (e.g., http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/ ... 541#p51541 and http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/ ... 309#p73309), but don't seem to have any topic of their own. Well, here it is.

Apparently, the mentioned Partition Assistant is deprecated. The highlight of the new Backupper Standard is the fact that it can backup a live system without rebooting.

Outstanding. Can you do a system clone to USB? E.g. if hard drive fails you can boot from you backup?

  • Haven't tested it, but I seriously doubt it. This is a backupper, cloning is very much another story, I'm afraid. With some nudging, Clonezilla (http://clonezilla.org/) might be able to do just what you want...:?

True. I really just want a Windows version of SuperDuper but that may not be possible. That program depends on the MacOS and the hardware being very okay with booting from an external device.
