Looking for a good WRAPPER tool

I have noticed that there are several tools to wrap/bundle applications (into a single executable file) and I thought to start a new thread to get some concrete feedback from the PFC (creative) folks

Perhaps it is worth clarifying that with "WRAPPER tool" (in this particular thread) I am specifically referring to a tool that does not sandbox (isolate) and virtualize access to the file system and registry.

I am only looking for tools that bundle all the files (and eventual subfolders which are required for an application to work) into a single executable but still allow data to be freely read/written from/to the host system, without any isolation.

I remember having tried "nBinder" (which did not work in most cases) and the wizard-style "FilePacker" (by JvwComputing), which at runtime decompresses a sort of a data subfolder INSIDE the same folder where the application is located... I also recall another application (I read something about it here on PFC but I forgot the name) that I also tested but did not produce satisfactory results.

Any suggestion (for freeware or otherwise) is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

SD

Thanks for the nice suggestions

I have downloaded "Small Utilities Suite" (thanks lautrepay!) and will test the "Bundle" tool included in the set.

I seem to understand that (the pretty expen$ive) "Molebox" (thanks tproli!) sandboxes/isolates the bundled application and virtualizes access to the filesystem and registry, which is not really what I was looking for... If you (tproli or other PFC member) are familiar with this application and I misunderstood that aspect, would you kindly let me know?

I am also testing SFXMaker v.1.3.0 beta (thanks guinness!) since under the "Directory" tab, apps consisting of multiple files/folders can be wrapped/bundled into a single executable.

Hopefully I will get some more suggestions about this subject... I will post here my feedback after the tests.

Thanks again

PS: I have edited my original post (the 1st post in this thread) to better clarify what I am looking for

Please post comments, if any, in this thread  .
