Thank you, I didn't know Kidsnapper, it seems unique and useful, I will test it. Kidsnapper is also available at Softpedia.

Unfortunately Kidsnapper is not portable, it writes to registry:so I won't be using it any more.

Latest updates. New or updated entries are highlighted in green on the spreadsheet. Snippaste was moved to category three since it can save directly to file, clipboard, and using "save as".

I see that you have included QIP Shot in your tests. Is there a way to make QIP Shot portable?

Re: Screencapture usage tests
I used a yaP launcher with the following settings, I didn't note that in the results. I'll make the correction.smaragdus wrote:@TP109

; configuration file for yaP v0.6 (http://rolandtoth.hu/yaP/)
; application name:
; version:
; website:
[GENERAL]
application = App\QIPShot.exe
; commandline =
; workdir =
[BEFORE]
dir = %Appdata%\QipShot\history
file = %Appdata%\QipShot\settings.ini

Thank you for the explanation.
Thank you for the explanation.
Re: Screencapture usage tests
Since there are several settings in the QipShot directory, a more efficient setting would be:
[BEFORE]
dir = %Appdata%\QipShot
[BEFORE]
dir = %Appdata%\QipShot
Re: Screencapture usage tests

Re: Screencapture usage tests
Added Screen Block Grabber and moved PostImage from category 2 to category 3. PostImage straddles the line between 2 and 3. Although it can save directly to file, the default location is the desktop and that can't be changed in the settings.
