Firefox 3.6.x is now officially dead and will receive no further security or bug fixes. The Extended Support Release (ESR) of Firefox 10.0.x is available in portable form at PortableApps.com, but isn't intended to replace the legacy version for most users. It's a bit of a common mistake for people to think it will be updated less often. It will be updated every 6 weeks just like mainline Firefox. I did a short blog post about it: http://portableapps.com/blogs/johnhalle ... d-of-lifed
And we have the ESR available now for those who like to use it to test web pages and extensions: http://portableapps.com/news/2012-04-25 ... 4-released
If you haven't updated from Firefox 3.6 yet, please do. Over a dozen bugs were fixed in Firefox 12.0. 11 of those existed and were fixed in Firefox ESR 10.0.4. Some may very well exist in Firefox 3.6 and never be patched. So upgrade today!
