I have reverted back to the plain vanilla screenshots until I find a way to sort out the browser specific issues.

I have also moved the comment validation logic to the server side due to the client-side issues encountered.

You got my vote, bassiliin (in case of a poll). The new screenshot feature is annoyingly slow and somehow doesn't fit with the webpage (not just with its graphic style but also with the "matter-of-fact" mentality of the site). Too much "gimmick" or "flash" (is it Flash actually?) for my taste. Attractive of course for those that are fascinated by everything that blinks or moves automatically.

The special functioning of that new screenshot feature seems only to be somewhat useful if several screenshots should get rendered in a slideshow (never done on TPFC), otherwise it's just meaningless (and slow) effect or eye candy.

Just an idea: instead of lightbox, when clicking ont he "Screenshot" link, the area below could expand downwards and there could appear the screenshot. Clicking on the image or on the "Screenshot" link would close the expanded area.

I think it is easy to implement and I can help you if needed. If no javascript is enabled, the screenshot would open in a new window as now.

@tproli: If you can send me the code, I am game to try it out and see what the others think of it.
