Cool! pretty accurate, it says on the
'All' category 1546! So which is right?! :D
But I was trying to determine the new applications since the addition of 'Add Your Own!'

I didn't even realize that the All page listed the count (lol).
Both are right, my search only did up to item 1743. Items 1744 and 1745 have been added (1746 hasn't been used yet). Hence, there are two new items, making the count currently 1546.
http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1744
http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1745
http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1746
As for your question, if there is a difference between the two pages, I can tweak the code to tell you what you want to know - it's just checking the source code.
For example, I know that the older pages have "admin" as one of the users who have favorited the item (e.g.
http://www.portablefreeware.com/scorelist.php?id=1). Whereas, the newer pages don't (e.g.
http://www.portablefreeware.com/scorelist.php?id=1745). So, if this would work, I can easily check which pages have / don't have "admin". Pages with "admin" (even if there are other users who favorited it), is a page from the old way. Pages without "admin" are the new.
If you want a different check, I just need an example of a page that's using the old way, versus the new, and I can get you those counts.
I'll run the above check, because I believe that's what you are looking for.

Here's the count (and listing) of all pages which don't have "admin" as a favorited user. The first one (381), is an "old page", but doesn't have "admin" (the score was reset to 0), so it was included in the list.
If you want the code I used, I'm more than happy to share it. I just didn't want to post it to the forums, because you probably don't want users checking this information (polling your site, using bandwidth) recklessly.
Last entry searched was 1745.
http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1745
New way (218):
381
1194
1530-1745

Thats sweet! I suppose I could have created something in AutoIt, but Java has seemed to work better!
It's not my site so I can't decide whether or not it would be good to post the code. Thanks for the info, 218 is a lot in the 5months.

That it is. As a note, this is the total number of programs added. Some may not have 10 votes yet, so they may not be visible to the public.

How / where do I view these applications?

Enter [@] at the search field on the top of the "latest" page and press on search.
If you page back you will find these entries (with less than 10 voting points).

When I search for [@], I get all results. Is there a way to filter just the ones that are private (less than 10 votes) - I've been trying to figure this out for months.
I am already on the RSS feed, so I know when a public app is released, but I would like to know when any program is submitted. Is there an RSS feed for this?

Thanks for the list CodesAway.
Quite a few require the latest .net framework (and should stay hidden... lol).
@Checker
[@] search did not produce the same results.

CodesAway, Thanks see some of my applications (not .NET) are still there.
I am Bass, If you enter [@] and then select 'Options' to the right of the search box, from there you then choose the 'Results only:' dropdown box and select 'New only'
Problem though if the applications with less than 10points have been updated then they are classed as updated and not new, so they won't be in the list. That's why what CodesAway has done is pretty cool!
Hope this helps!

If
anyone tests on this site, maybe it's a good time to revisit some of these. I think people get confused about the 'Favourite System.' If for example joby_toss, I am Bass or Checker posts a new application, I firstly check if it is Portable and then secondly Vote for the application. This is not to say I will ever use the application, but my vote counts to this application appearing in TPFC.
So inconclusion those who like to test and can vote, it would be much appreciated if you could do this! :)
My additions, not approved :(

Well, since guinness is giving a plug for his stuff, mine as well do a plug for mine.
I'm a Java programmer (as you may have guessed), and I have developed a few Java libraries and have released them on my site
codesaway.info - all free of charge.
Currently, two libraries are released, as well as an online tool.
RegExPlus - Extends Java regular expressions to support additional syntax
SystemClipboard - Java utility class that simplifies interaction with the system clipboard
JavaStar - Online regular expression tester, using RegExPlus to find matches
There is a forum where you can post any questions, suggestions, or comments -
http://forum.codesaway.info/. Currently, there are no other users, but I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

I was plugging the software I have added to TPFC not my created software :) Your programs look useful, shame that it's Java!
