@joby_toss: I have applied a patch to hide the bots from the display.

I have installed subsilver2 since the poll indicates most of you prefer it over prosilver.

Let's try it out and let me know what you think.

Who knows? Some of you might have gotten used to prosilver over the past couple of weeks.

Don't know where I should put a request for a forum feature so I'll try here: is it possible to add a new field for every topic (at the bottom of the page) with a "Fast reply" feature? Kinda' like Executor's forum has (e.g. http://executor.21.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=777 - scroll down)?
At least for me it will speed up things a little bit as I don't need all the options a normal reply window has to offer.

Don't think phpBB has this function unfortunately...

I saw this http://www.ktuk.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=6556 that's why I asked. I have no idea what/if any other coding is required... I also seen quite a few mods that enable this feature.

I think I'll use a GreaseMonkey script (http://softinquiry.com/phpbb3-should-ha ... reply.html).

actually quick reply has been with phpBB3 since 3.0.6 (latest stable being at 3.0.7pl1) it's under the posting options in the admin cp (most of my sites usually use phpBB3 so I do know my way around phpBB3 :P) and in there you can enable quick reply in all forums or by manually editing each forum you can enable it for specific forums there.

phpBB is one of my most favourite forum software besides ip.board

also change the captcha settings to use recapthca, help's reduce spam and install this modification both I found very effective against bot spam http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/daropl_antispam/
