After discussion with the other moderators last week, we have decided to restrict entry comments to registered users in order to reduce the amount of spam.

Anonymous users will still be able to view the comments, but posting of comments will only be available if you are logged in.

Hopefully this will improve the quality of comments and help lessen the work required to kill spammy comments.

There are a few that post comments regularly but never really joined TPFC. I hope they decide to join now (like Magibon did before).

I guess that would include me, although I tended to post under different names. *ducks from flying tomatoes*

What do you guys think about putting a blurb about having to register in order to leave a comment on an apps' permalink page if you're not logged in?

Right now its showing up in red multiple times on the main page under each entry. I'd recommend making it only visible if someone clicks "post comment" or "permalink".

Agreed! Also currently, the blurb shows up even when I'm logged in.
