Opera secret project.

#1 Post by guinness »

Before I continue with the 'secret project', I would like to know if the test application finds Opera as well as the default profile & URLFilter.ini.

Note: This isn't for Opera Portable but Opera installed, as the folder structures are different in the 64-bit version, but are exactly the same in Opera Portable.
Download: http://db.tt/Iwzv6E62

Thanks.

Do you have Opera installed? If not then don't worry, as Opera Portable detection is easy due to the fact everything is contained in the 'profile' folder ;)

I'm still keeping tight lipped on what I have planned though.

I have my Portable version too, but I've had problems setting it to be the default, so I have an installed version too. Well in case some borrows my PC for a while!

OK, try this version >> http://db.tt/Iwzv6E62 it will now detect if Opera is your default application for htm/html files and find it that way. So if your portable Opera is the default application then voila!

Do you use PortableApps or the official version? What should the values be?

I use the official version.
Opera path is correct, but the other paths are empty. Or is this the way it was meant to work on portable versions?

I used to NirSoft's FileTypesMan to change the default application to my portable Opera and I can reproduce it. Expect an update by today.

It wasn't my code but 'PathUnExpandEnvStrings' instead. Try again with the same link above and thanks for helping me :)
