Virtualized Applications With Enigma Virtual Box

I've come across this on addictivetips:

Enigma Virtual Box,
file system application virtualization software that enables user to embed files which are essential to run an application in question into a single executable file
.

Has anyone ever tried that? The description/review makes it, of course, sound easy-peasy, however I'm not really a technical expert who could test its usability and usefulness. Maybe some of the devs and tinkerers here can make something of it.

Just as I read the 1st post I was going to say it's likely to be trigger many false positives. :lol:
I doubt it's really dangerous because it's too much work for a very small and relatively knowledgeable target audience, but it could be used by crapware makers to hide their payload.
That said, I wouldn't run it either w/out further analysis. ;)

i was pretty excited when i first came across boxedapp and enigma virtual box ..
but after thoroughly reading about it..
i realized it's mainly for developers to hide their copyright/trade-secrets from people ..

these 2 apps. aren't really designed for the average joe.
JauntePE, Spoon (Xenofex), or ThinStall would all be a better choice for the average user looking to pack software into Virtualized Apps. w/out programming skills.

At the risk of sounding like a complete nitpicker... Spoon (Xenocode), or Thinstall (since 2008 VMware ThinApp) :mrgreen:

you're right .. it's a waste of space, energy, and time to post punctuation/spelling/innocent mistakes.
you remind me of Ruby.. who is infamous for going out of his/her way to point out mistakes that are completely unneeded/irrelevant and fail to see content..

content should be more important.

if anyone was interested in my post, a quick search would have lead them to the products mentioned.

@Magibon

What you consider 'mistakes' as 'unneeded/irrelevant' is your opinion.

I only try to be helpful in my posts/replies.

I find your reply to 'spicydog' using me as an example to be flammable.

I urge you to refrain from this behavior.

@Magibon

Beside the fact that your information is not only confusing (Xenofex is a special effects collection plugin) but also pretty outdated (Spoon used to be Xenocode and VMware ThinApp used to be Thinstall), my "At the risk of sounding like a complete nitpicker" preface and the " :mrgreen: " suffix should have sufficed to keep your knickers from getting in a knot.

And also, what is the point of making references if you quote incorrect names? Your "average joe" reading that post is likely to think that you do not have your facts straight and unavoidably your message looses credibility.

For a guy with the PEACE symbol avatar, your reaction (even unnecessarily involving "Ruby") is remarkably uptight.

Consider adopting a friendlier tone or simply choose a different avatar... and/or forum!

Not having a good day aye? It happens... :D

@spicydog

A bit harsh on the reply don't you think? Especially the last sentence... :roll:

@Everyone

Do you really think so?

Let's see if now we'll get even a 5th or a 6th person involved in this petty incident and before we know it we'll manage to blow it out of proportion.

AFAIK the matter could have been concluded with my " :mrgreen: " 5 posts ago!

Anyway I totally second your "RELAX! And be COOL!"

Stay frosty, mate :mrgreen:

Was curious about this one, but while perusing their forum I rapidly came across this: http://forum.enigmaprotector.com/viewto ... =20&t=1771

It kinda makes it a non sequitur as a portabilizer, does it not? :(
